"Directed By" at Impro Theatre
I'm in a really cool improvised performance this weekend. "Directed By" takes a suggestion from the audience and puts the actors and story at the mercy of the Director, Paul Hungerford. Last time we did this, it was a rousing success - hope you all can make it! SATURDAY

Final UiP Show
Last night, I performed in my final long-form improv show with UiP. Over my four-year journey with this group, I went from having no confidence to thinking I had confidence to actually having confidence in my skills as an improviser. Happily, I consider this final show my personal best. Though I will dearly miss UiP, I'm extremely grateful for the opportunity to spend the last few years improvising with these wonderful people. Six Meters: Painting With Bodies
Our final show of the year saw us begin with a solo on a white canvas before covering ourselves and each other in paint while we danced as an ensemble. A highlight on Muhlenberg's campus, an audience gathered on three sides to watch us play and dance with vibrant colors. This group has been very special to me, and I will miss them intensely as I begin my professional life in LA next month. #painting #bodies #dance #improv #performance #audience #art #participation #love #colo

Six Meters: Harbor
For our second on-campus performance, Six Meters took inspiration from jugs of water brought onstage halfway through the show. Flicking droplets, pouring streams, and dunking each other reminded me of baptisms and cleansing as well as fear at the sudden shock of cold. We played to our strengths, creating a beautiful soundscape with voices and impromptu instruments. Eventually I made my way to the piano, where I improvised an accompaniment to the performers onstage, once again

Going UiP on a Tuesday!
Last night, we had a wonderful performance in UiP, doing long-form improv for over a hundred people at our usual Red Door venue. One striking quality of this group is how much fun we have together - I hope that in LA I'll be able to work consistently with another improv group that takes so much joy from the process. What a privilege to be a part of an ensemble that constantly strives to be better, tighter, and more supportive while also having a blast. That's how I want to wo

Six Meters at Hillside School
On Friday, February 27, we performed at Hillside, an elementary and middle school for children with ADD and related learning disabilities. The audience of about 100 was attentive and engaged, and our performance of a little over an hour flew by. I danced using a bundle of long sticks as sound, tapping them on the ground, letting them fall, swishing them through the air, scraping them against each other. These sounds inspired a fellow dancer’s movements in a duet. We then used
